LAST POST EVER

well this year has gone so quick and was such a good year i am so glad i did ty. i am dreading going into 5th year but sure has to be done. i have made loads of new mates this year and done things i would have never done yeah was pretty good skag. i hope the next tys have fun aswell. our ty graduation is on monday and then bowling tuesday cant wait mega excited. cant believe how quick the year has gone. hopefully next year will be just as much fun. anyway thanks for reading my blog and shoutout to folllowers. anna gallagher is still gossip girl. had some ups and downs left and rights!!! #tybants

busy busy

monday was sports day was really good lovely day i love sports day thanks for the icecream and thanks to anna g for the coke and jellys :))) 

tuesday we headed off to scifest in itt tallaght was a good day for science and stuff. nu nu nu nu nu. we got to see loads of projects and judges looked at ours. and we got curry chips. 

wednesday was our retreat was really good in maynooth was very interesting and ye stuff like that. everyone i think had a good time. the peeople there were really nice.

Swim a mile

swim a mile was really good i didnt actually swim but i counted laps. everyone did really well. after that we went to blanch and i got mcdonalds and a waffle. im excited for next week because monday sports day, tuesday scifest, wednesday retreat. we finished our dance in hip hop aswell for ty night on the 25th. many projects to do now in the next last weeks of school. cant wait for summerrrr

the best moment of ty was the whole year all together we actually did a lot we learnt a lot aswell that will help us in fifth year. all the trips we went on were good too. i liked doing home ec this year and tech because i never got to do them before. 

this week was ok nothing much really happened. in music we are learning our song for gradation night which is wave your flag and some take that song mashup. in french we are learning summertime paradise. next week i think monday we are going to do our driving lessons. next friday few of us bouncing to punchestown. cant wait yeow

This week WHOOPER

this week was bit skag being back to school i guess shoutout to chloe kairua i went to mars pia loves imagine dragons. we had a talk on swim a mile with a smile on thursday was really interesting and sad at the same time. work on wednesday i got mcdonalds at lunch was really happy. nothing else really happened. history we started to learn about the titanic and everything that happened with it. in art we started our painting pieces. irish we are learning its time in irish and its mad good. thats really it. i finished watching misfits aswell and if anyone recommends a show on netflix please comment below thanks. any shows that are not : vampire diaries, gossip girl, orange is the new black, misfits, pretty little liars thanks x

EASTEERRR

easter is tomorrow im going on holidays cant wait, today we had our first week of hip hop was really good we learnt a dance routine. this week on monday we made curry in home ec and tuesday nothing really happened work was on wednesday i went in at 12 off at 4 and i got paid $$$ dolla bills. thursday we had a talk about self help africa with ms leahy was really good i learnt a lot had mega fun. also last friday ty charity ball for temple street childrens hospital was a great night we raised so much money for the charity i know has nothing to do with the school but im just saying.

the past week!!!!!!!!

for sci fest my project which was with wild cat crickers was how wifi affects a consumers habits. last friday we set up our stall and our poster and got interviewed by judges and we got through to sci fest in may in tallaght. sarah and i are very excited to be going through and we Cant wait for a whopper day!!!
on monday we went to the hockey match final and they lost unfortunately. tuesday we went to liffey valley to see a history movie called selma it was really good had a great story line. wednesday was work. thursday we had a drumming work shop with a guy called dave it was really good he told us all about his travels around the world. we learnt about all the different types of instruments and drums and about Africa and how its such a great country.

spring break overr!!

we are back from spring break or midterm, this week we started a new work experience and we are going to town on Friday to raise money for lollipop day.
my new work experience is in my mams work Cassidy travel a travel agency in dundrum. I get mcdonalds on my break and I just do invoices and stuff like that its grand.
our drumming work shop was moved because of the noise and the mocks. im missing IT on Friday because we will be in town and im very sad :(((
we finished our teddys in home ec and are cooking next Monday cliodhna is making me and her cook cabonara cause its her favourite.
chloe and sarah take the big smoke on Friday we are very excited another trip in ty!!

ty mini company comp

on thursday which was yesterday we had our ty mini company competition to see who would get through to the kildare finals. my team won best display for our jartastic company. it was a great day for our whole year to be together and see everyones mini companys.

i had to leave early so i dont know what happened after that but i was told iprotect and bambo beauty got through so wel done everyone

work experience

hello i went to work on Wednesday and i work in a primary school. its great fun i love being with all the lovely children. on my break i sit in this little room cause there is no room in the staff room and i watch gossip girl. i have become slightly obsessed with gossip girl lately. i dont ever stop watching it and it worrys me. anyway i love chuck bass

Hawaii

When i leave school i would like to travel and one place i would love to go to is hawaii. to see the turtles and have coconuts. and go on a helicopter around the island i think would be great holiday. Also the weather is great.

Xmass and 2015

Havent wrote on this in yonks, basically a lot happened during december, we went to elf the musical, we went to a road safety talk in punchestown .Elf was so good we had many fun. we also went on a maths trip and went to blanch after i dont know if i wrote about that before cant remember and i dont have the energy to check. we also had our christmas exams they went grand nothing compared to 3rd year anyway. i am really enjoying ty now that we are half way. mega fun ive learnt loads of new things in different subjects. we are still doing our mini company and our English play. new year 2015 and we went bt young scientist was good but was boring cause we were there for so long. Christmas break was good aswell love christmas.

this week on tuesday and wednesday we had our school fashion show i was not in it unfortunatly but i did get to help paint the stage before. the girls did great well done to everyone was lovely show. next week is last week of work experience in zest i will miss my lovely wednesdays there i must say.

this week went really fast the fashion show is next week tuesday and wednesday.  im modeling last years junk koutour i think its spelt that way anyway. its mad pretty anyway im going to sell my mini company jartastic at the fashion show so come along to see it thanks xxx this week we did a lot of production with the jars so loads of that is done, some turned out really well looking slick.

Tv3 !!!!

this week up until thursday i was on work experience in tv3 which is based in dublin. during the week i went to different departments in the company which included editing, news room, gallery, studio, sales, online, promo and loads more. i did alot of observation and they explained to me what there job required. i also got to watch the shows live from the studio which included midday, ireland am and late lunch live. during the news i got to sit in the gallery and watch them count the differnt news clips in. in promotions i got to watch a movie which will be aired soon and take clips out of it to make into an ad. i also got to be in the recording studio when the people came in to do the voice overs of shows. i got to post some posts online on their facebook, twitter and web page. was really interesting and gave me a better understanding of tv and the work behind it. i got to work on edits for the toy show next friday which is new to tv3 and i got a preview of it. overall was really good and fun the people there were really nice. i also got to meet tommy bowe, georgia salpa, pippa o connor and dermot bannon. also all the news reporters and tv presenters which were all really nice and friendly .

the name game

MIDTERM YAAOOWWW

so excited for midterm my favourite time of year halloween also my birthday on the 29th. today we all dressed up i dressed up as miranda sings a youtuber and i did it quite well. we are having a french coffee morning type thing later today

Home ec this week!!!!!!!!

Week 3: Caramel Squares

Ingredients	Equipment
125g flour 50g cornflour 50g caster sugar 100g HARD butter 2-3 drops of vanilla essence 1-2 cans of condensed milk 200g milk chocolate	Ingredients tray 2 plates Cutlery tray Large bowl Sieve Round tin Wire tray Spoon rest

Method

The week before cookery:

1.     Immerse 2 cans of unopened condensed milk in a pot of boiling water with a lid on it. Boil & simmer the cans for 3 hours. Make sure the entire can is covered in water, if not just top up with boiling water from the kettle.  After 3 hours remove from water & leave to cool (its best to do 6 cans at a time as you don’t want to waste fuel & they last for months unopened)

In cookery class

2.    Prepare yourself and your unit for cookery

3.    Pre-heat oven to 160^oC/ Gas 3

4.    Grease sandwich tin

5.    Sieve flour & cornflour

6.    Mix in sugar & zest/vanilla if using

7.    Rub in butter- be careful to no handle it too much or it will get oily. Squeeze mixture together with fingertips

8.    Press into a greased sandwich tin & smooth with the back of a spoon

9.    Bake for 15-20 minutes until pale fawn colour

10. Meanwhile, open cans of condensed caramel & place into a bowl- mix with a spoon to make it smooth. Spread the caramel over the shortbread.

11.  Melt chocolate- Break chocolate into a bowl and melt in the microwave for 30 seconds. Remove and stir. Continue to melt chocolate stirring every 30 seconds until the chocolate is melted (@ 2-3 mins)

12. Spread melted chocolate over the caramel and leave to cool until the chocolate sets.

Shortbread Only     Use shortbread ingredients above    

Option 1: Leave plain             

Option 2: Add grated zest of 1 orange or 1 lemon

Option 3: Add 1 teaspoon of ground ginger or cinnamon

Follow step 2-8 above & continue to step 9 below

9. Crimp edges with a fork. Cut into 8 sections and prick with a fork. Bake for 15-20 minutes until pale fawn colour. Cool in tin for a few minutes then remove carefully. Sprinkle with caster sugar
